Custom Briefings provides members of certain associations (each, a “Sponsoring Association”) with free, daily news briefings delivered via email. This privacy statement covers the collection and use of personal information through the use of this website as well as interaction with the email briefings. Custom Briefings values and respects the privacy and personal information of its customers, and commits itself to following best practices prevailing in the industry of high quality email news products.
Information Collection and Use
Custom Briefings does not solicit registration directly from customers, but receives email addresses and other information directly from Sponsoring Associations in strict observance of the rules set by those organizations.
Custom Briefings logs and monitors general usage of this site and the emails it sends, including open rates, clicks and other usage metrics for the purpose of better understanding the use and success of the service. This information may be collected and reported internally and to a Sponsoring Association. It may also be shared with third parties, such as advertisers, but only in the aggregate and without any personally identifiable information.
Opt-Out / Account Status
Each email that is sent includes a link to a site at which recipients may unsubscribe from the email recipient list. In addition, Custom Briefings monitors responses from customers who make requests by email or telephone. Removal requests may be sent directly to or by calling: (703) 483-6100.
When requesting to unsubscribe, please provide your name, email address (the address at which you receive the email service), and the name of the association you belong to.
When requesting to unsubscribe via the unsubscribe website link, you may be asked to provide information about why you are unsubscribing. This information is strictly optional.
